The Stretch Concealer, however, changed things. And in the end, I rarely used concealers in my makeup regime. It brightened and covered other troubled spots throughout my face to my amazement.įor me, most concealers were either too thick or completely wrong for my skin tone. It provided just the right amount of coverage for my slightly sallow under eye area. Claims that the product was a “makeup that lets skin look like skin.” So I went out and purchased Glossier Phase 2 Set – which included the Stretch Concealer, Boy Brow and Generation G matte lipstick (both highly touted products). Curious at the effective nature of a concealer which offered all these promises and claims. But for now, I’ll focus on the concealer. I know a lot of folks will want me to comment on the other products in their growing line. Ok, so to get back to the Glossier Stretch Concealer. Glossier’s business model seems to gravitate to this growing trend of inclusive beauty rather than the traditional exclusiveness that has often plagued the industry.Īnd while their marketing tactics seem to focus on this inclusive beauty trend, how do their products hold up with respect to claims and ingredients?īecause in the end, it’s about how the product performs and what it includes – am I right? So if you are into makeup even in the slightest – chances are you’ve come across their product line.Īlthough it’s targeted marketing and aesthetic seem to focus primarily on the millennial crowd, this product does have a reach beyond the young set. In the last few years, the Glossier business model and product range have been the most copied beauty company bar none. I don’t choose to use this on the face on breakouts, though the description says you can, I just feel for myself I prefer a matte finish to fully disguise it.The Glossier brand needs no introduction. I Find both shades perfect for the under eyes. I wear the shades 4 Extra Fair and 5 Fair, 4 is perfect in winter and 5 in summer. If you need more reassurance that this concealer lasts well, then let me tell you I wore this on my wedding day and would choose it again and again. You may worry that with it being hydrating and glowy it wouldn’t last well through the day but it remains flawless even through the longest of days. This concealer covers it perfectly and brightens the whole area, without looking too made up or heavy.įor longevity, this concealer really cant be rivalled. I do have quite dark inner eyes, not so much the bags and under eyes but that niggly little area in between my tear duct and the side of my nose does hold a lot of blue tones which isn’t the most flattering. Layered under foundation or on an everyday ‘no makeup’ day, I get so so much use from this concealer. It gives the most beautiful finish, a good medium coverage that feels so creamy and hydrating. Stretchy certainly is the best way to describe it, most days I simply tap on a small amount into the inner corner of my eyes and blend it out with a brush. With it’s high coverage this creamy concealer is perfect for dark under-eye circles, and has a delicious sweet vanilla and berry scent. This multi-use, stretchy concealer goes a long way and can be used to cover any blemishes, or as an all over foundation. The creamy texture blends smoothly with a natural finish, covering any unwanted blemishes. Collection Lasting Perfection Stretch Concealer – £3.99 from SuperdrugĪ high coverage stretchable concealer, comfortable on skin and doubles as an eyeshadow base. However everything I’ve read about both products online, I would be inclined to agree. I first discovered this concealer around about August last year and it was an instant love from then on, I’ve heard its a dupe for the Glossier stretch concealer but I don’t have that to comment. For all my dry skin comrades, the struggle with concealer for the under eyes is real.
